Lee Fetter
Senior Consultant
For more than 35 years, Lee Fetter has spear-headed successful organizational transformation as a healthcare systems leader by focusing on executive and team development, succession management, and providing strategic advisory services for CEOs and senior leadership. Since retiring as BJC Healthcare Group President, Lee has been positively impacting boards and senior leadership teams through executive development and transitional consulting.
His extensive background as an executive leader includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for Washington University School of Medicine, Associate Vice Chancellor for administration and finance and Chief Operating Officer of Washington University Physicians, President of St. Louis Children’s Hospital, President of Health Partners of the Midwest Health Maintenance Organization and Group President for BJC Healthcare, overseeing six hospitals—St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Alton Memorial Hospital, Christian Hospital, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Progress West Hospital and Barnes Jewish Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital.
As a compassionate and community-minded leader, Lee served on the boards of five hospitals, two foundations, and numerous non-profit service organizations, earning leadership awards, including the March of Dimes Hero for Babies award. His experience as a board member assessing executive performance is one that Lee particularly enjoys as he is committed to working with senior leaders to develop their self-awareness of how to interact more successfully with boards and fellow senior leaders by focusing on unique team dynamics that drive or hinder organizational advancement.
Lee holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University and a master’s degree in higher education administration/finance from Harvard University.
